Honourable Deputy Chief Minister,
With agony and disappoint, I bring this prayer before you to consider the well being of the vote banks of the Ayyappa Nagar, Madipakkam.
1. No Drainage System at 5th Street of Ayyapa Nagar, Lake View, Madipakkam, Chennai, Pin-600091, Tamilnadu State.
2. The contaminated sewage waters originating from the Human Waste of Toilets, Kitchen, Bathroom, and laundry sources of every building in this street have been flooded out and remain stagnant in the path of the streets before the buildings, which overflows from the septic tank of every building.
3. The above said stagnant blackish sewage waters become the cause for the below harmful consequences:
(i). Bad smell
(ii). Air Pollution
(iii). Water Pollution.
(iv). People has to walk over this water by dipping their legs and even fall over it which is highly infectious and dangerous to health.
(v) Affects Acquatic Ecosystems.
(vi) Creates disease causing harmful microbes.
(vii) Eutrophication
(viii) Pollute the near by lake of Madipakkam.
(ix)
(v) It carries and spreads diseases such as Giardiasis, Amoebic dysentery, Cholera, Gastrointestinal disorders, kidney damage and so on.
(vi) Wheels of Vehicles passing over the street road paints the passers by, with the showering of these sewage waters.
4. All the above said harmful effects is also affecting the human beings dwelling over there, because of the below facts.
5. The drainage Tanker (PMR Drainage Lorry Service, Madipakkam) approved by the Panchayat is owned by the Vice president / counsellor of the Panchayat. They Charge exorbitant charges of Rs.1600/- for one Load where as other private tankers charge around 1000/- (The corporation of Chennai Charges around 500/- only). But this PMR service people don't allow other private tankers to enter into this area.
6. Every part of vote bank blame the above said fact and it’s the cause for not constructing the Drainage facility.
7. Moreover, the Pallavaram Municipality Sewage Water line goes in the Ayyappanagar Main Road (near the Lake), which is very very near to the streets of Ayyappa Nagar, Madipakkam.
8. There are 30 houses in this street, of which Two flats are there each having 6 houses. This Ayyappanagar, having 15 streets, comes under Madipakkam Panchayat. Ayyappa Nagar is on the upstream side of Ayyappanagar Eri (lake) which helps ground water recharge for in and around Madipakkam area), where there is no proper drainage facility in this area.
9. Why not the Drainage facility be constructed and connected to the nearby Pallavaram Municipality Sewage Water line. Favouring the PMR Drainage Lorry Service or the Vote Banks of Ayyappa Nagar, Madipakkam has to be decided by the present Government.
I request the honourable Deputy Chief Minister and all the responsible officials to take the right immediate action for the welfare of the Ayyappa Nagar people and construct the Drainage facility. With thanks.
